All that I'm missing is a way to tell the status of s when the window is not open. This should be something unobtrusive, like a tooltip when over the FDM tray icon.

I won´t start new topic on it, but:
I like the color-progress tray icon idea. Color for mode (green to red = light to heavy), and some other indicator (little progressbar - ie 0-25-50-75-100%) of sum s complete.
Also the s info window could display on mouse hover... (it could be optional setting)

I'd like to see the floating drop-box square change color just like the tray icon does.

I keep my windows taskbar hidden and FDM minimized to tray. That blue floating drop-box on the desktop is all I ever see, and it is always blue no matter what is happening!

Anything fancier for progress I'll leave up to everyone else, just color would be enough for me. I could know at a glance if FDM is still ing, if it is in trouble, or done (back to blue again).

yeap, i dont want individual windows either

Although sometimes it is useful to just drop the mouse cursor on the task bar icon and see bandwith utilization, or number of s, or time remaining if it is just 1 . it'd also be good being able to limit traffic with bar in Kbs, instead of the light-medium-heavy modes. and last of all, to have a "delete all finished s" option.
anyway, its also great just the way it is so, thank you guys for keeping it free, also keep up the good job.

It would be very nice to have integration with Samurize. I will be happy to write a plugin (I already did one) for FDM, if you can provide some help on how to read current status of s...

Nice to hear that I am expecting a reply/suggestion/confirmation/anything from the developer before starting with the plugin. And, from your side, what is need as information on the desktop - number of running s, total percent completed, current speed, ... It is up to you and of course the possibility to read the infromation from FDM.

the best drop down window i think is the one IDA has.. it has a bandwidth graph and IF youre ing something, it adds a tiny progress bar, so u can see whats happening.
i think at least FDM should integrate dropdown with the info window. cause it doesnt have to be much too big...sometimesi just dont know where to put it.. unless u can shade it, (which i can) but thats another story

many thanks for the fine new Version 2.0. with great and useful improvements!
The new window with progress bar is very good, but for my needs (and i think a lot of other s with oldfashioned dialup connections and a least cost router) one thing should be added:
Please put in this new window a -rate bar, which has a configurable scale (e.g. from 0 KB/sec to 6 KB/sec or more for DSL). This is one of the few things well done in "fresh " which can't compete in any other way with FDM.
