Uninstall procedure for Free Manager is the same as for the all normal programs for Windows.
If you don't know how to do it - ask on some forums for PC beginners.
If you have some concrete problem with uninstallation - describe it here in detail to get the help.

As my own genuine post has been locked, why I do not know, I have written a private message on the submit form on the us page and no one has bothered to get back to me. So, I am afraid I have to make my annoyance public. Please do not block me again until you are willing to me privately to correct this issue.

Any other programme that has been installed on this computer I have been able to uninstall. This programe is impossible to uninstall. It does not show up anywhere cllearly for me to begin this process. As this is unwelcome on my computer and you seem to be on the 'management' team then I would appreciate some help in this matter. I do not wish to spend hours looking on the internet for other forums. I have never done this and do not want to start. The only reason I am writing here is because you fail to help me.

Obviously I am not the only person having issues with deleting this wretched unwelcome programe of my computer.

Are you blind or what???
I SAID GO TO THE PROGRAM FOLDER AND RUN THE UNINSTALLER.PERIOD!
if there's no uninsatller, then install the program again and uninstall it.

I can't you privately because you're guest on this forum.
Maybe will you.

Windows OS may lose entries in Add/Remove Control for some reasons (or some apps may do it).
Maybe you got modified version of FDM from other site, not from our site.

Try these:

1. Go Start | All Programs | Free Manager | Uninstall Free Manager.

2. If you do not see this menu, try Start | Run, then enter "%programfiles%\Free Manager\unins000.exe"

If this will not help, shutdown Free Manager (use File | Exit menu in its main window), then search for location of fdm.exe file on your computer, then do this:

1. E.g. you find it in C:\SomeFolder\fdm.exe. So run this: Start | Run, enter "C:\SomeFolder\fdm.exe" -unregserver.

2. Delete C:\SomeFolder from your computer.

Again, the reason of that it's so hard to uninstall your FDM is not in FDM itself. Most probably this is because you got not official (modified by someone) version of FDM.

Uninstalling FDM - HOW? 5i3k4l

Postby Guest » Thu Jun 04, 2009 10:09 am

Hi Alex,

I am having the same problem of unistalling FDM and it's really annoying me now. i have followed all the instructions but not one is working.
I have no idea how FDM got on my pc and I want to remove it. I am sure there are many out there having similiar problem of uninstalling FDM. What kind of program is this that one can not uninstall? It makes one suspicious.

Thank you and I am looking forward to a REAL solution.

Regards.

Please describe the problems you encountered with on the each step I suggested you to try.

I can help only in case you provide the detailed description of what happens on your PC when you trying to uninstall FDM.

Dear Alex,

Thank you for replying. I am STILL having problems and thankful that I am not the only one. I have tried all your suggestions and none have worked. I am unable to any text sent in attachments by people, and most certainly cannot photos. It comes up as a notepad file full of non-sense.

Maybe the problem lies in the fact that I have vista? I have had other issues before and it has always come down to the fact that I have vista so have to do things a little differently.

To point out to Jorge, please do NOT reply here as I find you very rude. Before I found this forum, I first went to the Programes and Features on my computer....but the Manager isn't there to even uninstall.

Alex, I will go through these points (Capitals to show me answering...not shouting at you....);

Try these:

1. Go Start | All Programs | Free Manager | Uninstall Free Manager.
FREE MANAGER ISN'T ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND HERE

2. If you do not see this menu, try Start | Run, then enter "%programfiles%\Free Manager\unins000.exe"
AGAIN THIS DOESN'T WORK. I HAVE TRIED IT EXACTELY AS YOU HAVE ENTERED HERE. WITHOUT THE " AND % WITH C:\ IT IS TELLING ME THAT IT CANNOT BE FOUND, THAT IT HAS BEEN MOVED EITHER TO ANOTHER NETWORK OR HARD DRIVE.

If this will not help, shutdown Free Manager (use File | Exit menu in its main window), then search for location of fdm.exe file on your computer, then do this:

THIS I WAS CONFUSED WITH....I COULDN'T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

1. E.g. you find it in C:\SomeFolder\fdm.exe. So run this: Start | Run, enter "C:\SomeFolder\fdm.exe" -unregserver.

2. Delete C:\SomeFolder from your computer.

I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED PUTTING IN FREE MANAGER AND FDM BUT IT COMES UP WITH NOTHING.

I AM CURIOUS HOW IT IS EVEN RUNNING! OBVIOUSLY ONLY WHEN I'M ONLINE...WHICH LIKE MARTHA, MAKES ME A LITTLE WORRIED.

OKAY. WELL, I WILL WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN.

THANK YOU ALEX

And I would love to get rid of this little blue and white arrow that is imposed over every window that I open! Thanks
