It may be the best it is for sure not the FASTEST.
Those of you who think FDM is the best, go and try Internet Manager. Really, try ing anything big (more than 2-3 megs) several times with both ers and you will see for yourself.

Dear FDM crew, why don't you consider employing such algorithm as in IDM, then you will be the best.

But just for now, you're as any other er.

May I ask for some kind of key on the release logs. Just wondering what the difference between a "+", "*", and "-" is. Really wondering about the "-" is a this a known bug or a fixed bug. I am sure they are fixed bugs, but just for clarity could a key be added to these plz and ty.

I am guessing the key would be as follows: :?:

[+] = added feature
[*] = improved for prior feature
[-] = fixed bug

Ty for this software use it all time and love it!

Great Software 5s1h1s

Postby cblanche » Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:02 pm

I originally ed this with about 10 other freeware and shareware programs to test them because the free manager I was using had too many ads and sometimes they created problems for my system.

I started using Free Manager first and the more I explored the program the better I liked it. I could not get Maxthon to accept it as my default er because it's not on their list but the all function in free manager that lets me filter the files works so awesomely that the Maxthon list issue is not a problem.

Every time I think about trying those other programs (I've ed updates to the other files several times using FDM :D ) but all I would end up doing is updating FDM and still using that. I love this program. When you had ads they were so unobtrusive but I would read them and several times checked out the ads and even purchased something once. I'm working on setting up a website and one page will be all the freeware programs on which I rely continuously and I will definitely link to FDM.

I'm a little short of funds, but I fully intend to this software financially. Freeware rocks and Free Manager puts anything I could possible pay for to shame. It is a truely simple interface, feature rich, fast, fun er, a delight to use. And the help file is helpful, too.

FDM 2.0 doesn't work. Not best product in the world by far.

Notice my previous comments were deleted... FDM have to hear the negative on your product to improve it, work out the bugs and the general public should know about it too.

If you're going to market it as one of the best managers in the world then you better darn well stand behind it and provide better tech (actually provide some at all) and not practice supressive moderating.

My rating so far?

On a scale of 1 - 10
I give it a "1"
