Auto Update Does Not Work 1ss3r

To whom it may concern,

FDM has been installed on all 3 laptops in my family, and the Check for updates automatically / Install updates automatically have been selected. However, none of them works. I have to manually update FDM every single time.

OS: Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2
FDM Version: 6.16.2.4586

I've submitted this bug twice in the channel but gotten no at all.

Hello,
We prefer to not use automatic updates except critical cases (e.g. security issues).
But if you want, we can consider adding additional option which will allow FDM to install "not-important" updates in automatic mode.
So, for now, if you want FDM6 to perform update, you'll have to trigger the process manually.

If so, why keep Auto Update in the settings? I FDM5 can auto-update with no problem If I were right.

Did you read my response carefully?
I said: "We prefer to not use automatic updates except critical cases (e.g. security issues). ". But we still can do it, if the did not deny us to.
