A FDM version that s Firefox 4-21 2y5t6y

I have noticed that the newer version of FDM does not firefox 14 - 21. Let me shine some light on the good old firefox versions.

Let me tell you some of the very awesome features of firefox 14-21 :

You can literally have over 5000 + tabs opened in these versions with many addons installed and everything and still work in less then 800 k memory allocation

Where else in newer version of firefox 50-100 tabs and a few addons make the firefox goes over 1.5kk ++ memory allocation which laggs the comp like hell.

Forget google chrome 20-25 tabs and the comp will start begging for its life ...

There are still many people using old firefox version. So this is a sincere request to the fdm developers please bring back for old firefox version. The video plugin dosent work as well the monitoring.

The last FDM that works with firefox 14 - 21 was FDM version 3.9.4 build 1472 or 1470 having a firefox plugin number 1.6.0.6.

Please Dev's bring back the for old firefox. Its the best versions of firefox they never used to crash never used to have any kind of problems

It's not possible as an "out of the box" plugin, due to a Firefox "feature" (see chrome.manifest syntax).

If you understand all the risks and want to add a bunch of well-known vulnerabilities to your PC, you can install the old extension manually and disable the update requests in your firewall rules. There won't be any detailed instructions here, since we are concerned about our s security.

If Mozilla will decide to continue to any of 14-21 releases (or even 3.5.x, which is better, IMO), we will surely maintain the extension for that.

I have been using other manager since fdm stopped working and that manager works fine with all the versions of firefox. I am sorry i am not that tech savy to understand exactly why fdm stopped ing those.

But one thing i know for sure i have been using firefox 14 for really quite sometime since it came out and personally i never had any problem with my pc at all. i am using other softwares to take care of my internet security problems.

I started this thread because after trying all the other managers, I guess its just because i am the guy that dosen't likes changes or personally fdm is the best for one of those reasons i cannot get over fdm and just stick to some other manager that works with my firefox. I am still trying fdm to work with my version of firefox.

I have a few questions if somebody can answer please :

1) is it possible somehow by modding it a little bit or doing something i can get the latest version of fdm to work with old firefox ?

2) Is the latest version of fdm 3.9.5 build 1542 s ing videos from : Dailymotion / Youtube.

3) Is the latest version of fdm 3.9.5 build 1542 now able to correctly .MP4 Videos ? ( I sometimes animes. They have switched from .flv to .mp4 now and since they switched whenever i the anime video, for the first 5 mins the video works absolutely fine but then after the 5 mins the video and audio get stucked, but the timer of the video still keeps on ticking as if the video is still running but its still stucked at the same point. .flv files still works awesomely, only problem is with the .mp4 files. This problem only occurs when i am ing with FDM video plugin.) It works fine when i video from Video helper (firefox Plugin)

Please give its name and/or website. (No, we don't ban for promoting other managers here. )
We'll have a look, maybe it's really possible.

Since v3.9.5, FDM has a new video feature, it should all kind of YouTube videos, including MP4. Please report if you get any problems with it.
